KPOO Fall Fundraiser
It’s that time of year again – time for the annual KPOO Fall Fundraiser. Once a year we make a request to our loyal listening audience for donations to keep KPOO on the air. As you know, KPOO is 100% listener sponsored. We are only able to exist because of you. We need your help to continue broadcasting for another year. Our goal this year is to raise $75,000. This amount is used to cover our major annual operating expenses.
Some of our major MONTHLY expenses:
- Transmitter and Antenna fee – $4,185.00
- Broadcast and Remote Control lines – $580.53
- Phones and Internet Service – $967.48
- Streaming KPOO over the Internet – $189.45
Additional ongoing expenses include:
- fees to play music over the air and internet
- website and streaming fees,
- Insurance
- legal fees
- broadcast service fees
- electricity/power
- occupancy
- management/supervision
- support
- equipment maintenance, repair, & replacement.
We need your donations to keep broadcasting shows that feature music, live guest interviews, election coverage, news, and community involvement that cannot be found anywhere else.
More importantly, we give a voice to the voiceless over our airwaves.
